Floating Gerberas

I woke this morning to my Gerbera's pooped from the party...

A sad little vase with hanging heads..

"No problem" I said.

Let's give you a new look Gerbera

I'll float your heads instead!

Looks brand new ..

Of course the bowl of Primroses got jealous..

Had to take a few shots of them too.

We all like to feel special..

Leslie I loved this picture of the drooping gerberas. I felt as droopy as the flowers this morning when I woke up. Now I think, with a little work, I can bloom again. I linked this post to my blog to share with my friends and family. Thanks for sharing.

Great idea to use the gerbers that way...my niece had floating gerbers as center pieces at her wedding...they are such happy flowers...love primrose too!!

10 lemons, juiced, approx 1 cup of lemon juice
3/4 cup sugar
4 cups water
8-10 strawberries, hulled
1/3 cup fresh basil
1/2 cup vodka (optional)

Directions:
Juice the lemons and transfer the juice into a large pitcher. Add the sugar and the water and stir to combine and dissolve the sugar. Add the strawberries and basil. Using an immersion blender, blend the mixture for about 20 seconds just until the mixture turns pink and the basil is finely chopped. Add alcohol if desired. Serve with lots of crushed ice.
